After eating many warm meals in the past days, I was in the mood for sushi. But not one of those take out sushi with avocado smaller than your pinky. After exploring the menu of Raw Like Sushi I suddenly got excited, they offer creatively created sushi which makes you want to try some. Some of em are not only vegetarian but also vegan!
Plus Susi was my date. So I was looking forward to a great evening!
We started with a warm tempura sushi filled with salmon and mango sprinkled with paprika and sesame seeds. It instantly boosted my appetite. More sushi please!
After drinking my Ipanema, my beautiful flirty sushi was served. Because the place always has special sushi of the month, I ordered two of them. The other two makis came from the regular menu.
My special makis of the months were “Alexis Sorbas” (filled with tuna, mango, avocado, sunflower seeds, inside-out shiso crees) and for the sake of my lucky number seven (de: sieben) “Die glorreichen Sieben” (filled with salmon, pumpkin, teriyaki sauce, inside-out cress sprinkled with paprika and sesame). They were really delish, you can taste that the ingredients are fresh.
My other yummy sushi was filed with salmon, rockets, masago und yoghurt lemon dressing. The name “Chanel” really does this fancy sushi justice (yeah right, now you know why I ordered this one). I shared my “Funky Eel” with Susi cos she has never eaten eel. It filled with marinated eel, avocado, teriyaki sauce and parsley. We were really satisfied with our sushi. My pallet was dancing because of many different taste!
To top the evening we got a dessert with a sushi flare. Sweet roll, it is a sushi-like dessert with rice pudding, almond and raspberries wrapped with crepe. We bathed them in vanilla and chocolate sauce…
I was one happy girl!
